West Houston Area Genealogy Society presents: Using Family Book Creator with Family Tree Maker: A Show & Tell Session

Hybrid presentation by Irene Walters
Yes, we are meeting both in-person and via Zoom!

Meet & Greet 10:00 AM | Program Begins 10:30 AM

Are you a committed family researcher, dreaming of publishing your research results in book format to preserve your hard work for succeeding generations? Many of us would love to publish our results. Some even say we will publish just as soon as we finish our research! Yikes!!! Well now is the time to consider at least one option for creating a book of your results. You know none of us will ever ‘finish’ our research.

Join us as Irene does a ‘show and tell’ about this option for capturing our research in book format using the Family Book Creator (FBC) program. FBC uses data stored on Family Tree Maker.

Irene Walters is a familiar face to us because of having presented for us a number of times recently. Plus, she was our ‘docent’ when we visited Houston’s Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research in March. She came to the Clayton Library in 1997 after receiving her library degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Irene has given talks to many groups on various aspects of genealogical research including: computers, the internet, ancestors in the modern military, using newspapers for your research, passenger list searches, naturalization records, and regional knowledge for New York State, Irish, and French ancestry records.

As a teenager, Irene started her own genealogy research which has led to tracing her family lines back into France, Ireland, and recently Germany. Her other German line and possible early Dutch ancestors are proving more difficult! Therefore, she understands what brick walls look like.

To be join virtually, visit www.whags.org to register.

Those joining in-person will meet at the new Steve Radack Community at 18650 Clay Road. Visitors are most welcome!

This event is offered by the West Houston Area Genealogy Society . Please direct questions to info@whags.org.
