Genealogy Face2Face is an informative and fun Zoom hangout that features genealogical speakers, discussion, and sharing. This program is open to both CLF members and guests free of charge. Our goal is to promote Clayton Library, its collections, and genealogical research.
Topic: "Spanish Patriots of The American Revolution" with Mary Anthony Startz
Mary Anthony Startz will discuss her latest book THE MILITIAMEN OF St. LOUIS AND STE. GENEVIEVE 1779-1783 which explores the role of Spanish citizens living in North America’s midlands during the American Revolution.
Mary Anthony Startz has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Randolph College. In retirement, she spends her time conducting research in Spanish documents, writing, and volunteering. She holds both GPHR and SHRM-SPC certifications. She is a member of NSDAR, the Order of Granaderos y Damas de Galvez, the Clayton Library Friends, the Hispanic Genealogical Society of Houston, the Rio Grande Valley Genealogical Society and the Texas State Genealogical Society. She has also written THE PAPERS OF JOAQUIN ORTEGA.
