West Houston Area Genealogy Society presents: Keys to Research Success: Breaking Down Brick Walls

Hybrid presentation by Irene Walters

Meet & Greet 10:00 AM | Program Begins 10:30 AM

Into everyone’s genealogical life one or more brick walls must come. Whether employing a less-is-more approach to data searching, or a brute-force bludgeoning of the data is more your style, come and hear about ways to approach genealogical brick walls that should help you to create windows, doors, and gates in those genealogical brick walls that you can unlock to move your genealogy searching along.

Irene B. Walters came to Houston’s Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research from New York in 1997 after receiving her librarian degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has given talks to many groups on various aspects of genealogical research including: computers, the internet, ancestors in the modern military, using newspapers for your research, passenger list searching, naturalization records, New York State, Irish, and French research.

This meeting will be held in-person at the Steve Raddack Community Center (18650 Clay Road, Houston, Texas 77084) and we encourage all who can to join us there. If that's not possible for you, we will also stream the meeting live via Zoom. A registration link will be added as the meeting date draws near.
