The Clayton Library Friends General Meeting will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019. Registration will start at 10:15 and the meeting will start at 10:30 in the Carriage House Meeting Room at Clayton Library.
Our featured speaker is Melissa "Mel" Hayes, presenting "Beyond the Mainland: International Resources Available at Clayton Library."
Join Clayton Friends for an overview of select sources for international research at the Clayton Library. This presentation is meant to show you a small slice of our international collection in hopes that it will help you jump from the Mainland across the pond.
Melissa "Mel" Hayes joined the staff at Clayton Library, Center for Genealogical Research, Houston, Texas in June 2013, having worked in Adult services and youth services with Houston Public Library (HPL) for fourteen years. She started working for HPL as a Senior Library Services Assistant. Upon completing her masters degree in 2008 from University of North Texas, Denton, Texas, she has attained the position of Librarian III, Assistant Branch Manager, Clayton Library. Her passion for genealogy started over 30 years ago and still remains strong. Her goal is to help Clayton Library customers in finding their family!
